The Nitrate Analyzer 8236 is ABB's response to the need for a cleaner environment. It is a self-contained and compact analyzer that effectively measures the nitrate in potable water treatment, river quality monitoring and sewage treatment. It has a unique long-lasting, reservoir-fed, electrode with ion-exchange nitrate ion-selective electrode as well as a reference electrode and that is used in an accurately crafted liquid handling section to lower the maintenance requirements.

It has a simple and compact design with full microprocessor control. It is equipped with full automatic 2-point calibration. Very little maintenance is required at long intervals. The display is large and fluorescent with 20-character dot matrix display for additional data. It has a complete comprehensive alarm and a facility for remote interrogation.
